Press Launch, KOKO Camden, London

Live Engraving for Asahi

Asahi hosted an immersive press launch at KOKO Camden in London, welcoming 230 guests across two evenings. The Japanese beer brand created a dynamic, multi-sensory brand event and invited me to provide live metal engraving on bespoke bottle openers.
To support the high guest count and ensure smooth delivery, I collaborated with fellow engraver Uliana. Guests received a custom bottle opener upon arrival and were invited to visit the engraving booth to personalise it.
In keeping with Asahi’s Japanese heritage, personalisation options included engraved names or initials in a bold block lettering style, or a two-character Japanese kanji for “fugu” (pufferfish), a symbol associated with the brand. This thoughtful integration of cultural symbolism strengthened the storytelling element of the brand event.
The engraving station quickly became an interactive focal point of the launch, drawing guests into the experience and sparking genuine conversations around craftsmanship and detail. Many were fascinated watching the metal engraved live, a reminder of how impactful tactile artistry can be within a fast-paced brand event setting.

The success of the activation led to Asahi inviting me to support a further event at Soho House Manchester, where I organised for 2 calligraphers to attend on my behalf, something that beautifully reflects one of the key benefits of working with Willow Rose Studio. Through my carefully curated collective of professional calligraphers and engravers, I’m able to support brands across multiple locations while maintaining consistent quality, tone and execution.

Whether an activation takes place in London, Manchester, or nationwide, I ensure every event feels seamless, elevated and aligned with your brand vision.
