To celebrate the launch of the new Captain Morgan x Pepsi Max drink, I was invited by fellow calligrapher
Uliana Popa to take part in a high-energy, two-day brand activation in the heart of Shoreditch, East London.
As part of the immersive experience, I provided live calligraphy personalisation for event guests, hand-lettering over 300 individual drink cans with names in metallic gold and silver ink. The result was a unique and luxurious keepsake that brought an unexpected personal touch to the branded product.
This was a fast-paced and technically challenging event. With cold cans fresh from the fridge, I had to carefully hand-dry each one before applying ink, ensuring the calligraphy adhered cleanly. The combination of speed, skill, and on-the-spot creativity made it an unforgettable experience.
The activation drew steady crowds throughout both days, and one of the most rewarding parts was seeing how excited guests were to receive their customised cans. Many even said they planned to keep them forever - a testament to the lasting impact of live, hand-crafted personalisation.
