To celebrate Mother’s Day in the UK, I had the pleasure of joining a luxury in-store activation with renowned fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian at Fenwick Brent Cross, London. The two-day event invited customers to personalise their purchases with live calligraphy engraving - an elegant offering that transformed each bottle into a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

This activation was made possible thanks to fellow calligrapher and engraver Kristine Yeung, who welcomed me onto her team for this special occasion.

Over the weekend, I hand-engraved dozens of Maison Francis Kurkdjian perfume bottles, each one a thoughtful gift for a mother or a luxurious treat for the buyers themselves. 

Guests could choose between gold or silver engraving, both of which beautifully complemented Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s refined glass bottles. A memorable moment for me was engraving the names and wedding date for a recently engaged couple, turning their chosen fragrance into a deeply personal memento of their upcoming celebration.

This event beautifully captured the essence of what live engraving offers: a chance to create tactile, meaningful memories in real time. It was an honour to help customers mark Mother’s Day with such intentional and long-lasting gestures.
