In the lead-up to Christmas 2024, I had the opportunity to bring festive creativity to life through live bottle painting for L’Oréal Group’s holiday activation at Westfield White City, London.
On behalf of
Nadia Chin Studio, this event was part of a vibrant seasonal installation in one of the city’s busiest shopping destinations.
Throughout the day, I hand-painted bespoke designs onto perfume bottles, offering complimentary personalisation with each purchase. Guests were encouraged to choose their own motifs, resulting in a diverse mix of florals, wintry landscapes, and intricate festive flourishes.
Floral designs were by far the most popular request and a joy to paint, but one snow-dusted winter scene stood out as a magical, memory-making highlight. The atmosphere was festive, the energy was high, and the blend of luxury, creativity, and seasonal spirit made it one of my most fulfilling events of the year.
The event quickly drew large crowds, and by the afternoon, I was painting non-stop to keep pace with demand. A standout creative moment was working on the Yves Saint Laurent Libre “Flowers & Flames” bottle, which featured a sculpted recess at the base. Inspired by its unique form, I painted within this delicate space—a creative risk that resulted in a beautiful, one-of-a-kind detail.
